SoundBridge

SoundBridge is a music-based social prescribing initiative that connects healthcare providers, musicians, and community partners to improve mental well-being, reduce social isolation, and strengthen community health through the power of live music. By integrating professional musicians and arts organizations into healthcare and community settings, SoundBridge offers meaningful musical experiences for individuals of all ages, including older adults, caregivers, and those facing mental health challenges.

The program includes live performances, participatory music activities, and guided listening experiences designed to foster connection, inspire joy, and support overall wellness. Through collaboration with healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and arts organizations, SoundBridge seeks to demonstrate how music can serve as a valuable complement to traditional health and wellness services.

Currently in pilot development in Delaware, SoundBridge is designed as a scalable model with the long-term vision of expanding access to music-based community wellness programs across the United States.
