Project 2 Jazz Chant Harmonization is Here!!

This video is about our group project 1 of MUSC 195 class. It will give you some skills about intervals. We discussed and learned the way that we wanted to use in video and analysis the steps of writing. We have three steps for interval above and 5 steps of below. As you will see, writing intervals is a mysterious thing, like a game.  Once you get the "key” of it, you could spell it just in a second. 

This is questions that we created before we recorded it. 

Commence:

        As the video, I know that it only gave you a limited skill for intervals, which is a general tool of spelling. For me, before I taught, I communicated with my group mates  how to spell the interval. We all have different tips. At first, I was confused about various methods. After the help and explanation of the team members, I used the most basic method to teach. This not only allowed me to learn a variety of skills, but also helped to consolidate and enhance my understanding of the interval.

           Also, I think this video will help other music students as it helped me. It could clarify the basic method of spelling and solidify the steps of how to spell. It is a good way to show that knowing those steps of spelling is important. Of course, our product is not perfect. We do need to provide more tips about intervals, which could be an another interesting way to learn it.

          One little thing that I want to talk is, what I taught in video is not the only basic way to do. If you meet a simple interval that requests you to spell it,such as M2, m2, M3, and m3, you could just think about how you play those notes on a key board, it will clear show the quality of the intervals.
